Christophe Michalak, 2005 best pastry chef in the world

“It is impossible to be a pastry chef without being generous and fond of food, my job allows me to express myself through my creations, then the desire to give pleasure to others subjugated me”, he said.
At the age of 16, he put together a culinary library that he has been expanding since then. He improves his taste buds’ memory, which is essential for a pastry master. “I compeled myself, life shaped me this way”, he said.

The World Pastry Cup is an international pastry contest taking place every two years in Lyon, France and Christophe Michalak won in 2005.

Passing his know-how as passion

Masterclasses to pass his know-how, desserts prepared in the morning in a limited series to be sold during the day: Christophe Michalak gives a place of honor to traditionnal pastry in his Parisian Masterclass workshop.

For Easter, Christophe Michalak is innovating with two creations which are going to  arouse your taste buds. It is always haute pastry with as usual a real artistic work.

Then, we can find the Fantastik Rock’n Pâques ($60 – 6/8 persons) : a cake soaked in mapple syrup, baked bananas with passion fruit juice, coated in salted butter caramel with a milk chocolate disk on top.
