Fruits and vegetables in trompe-l’oeil
A little bit more of culinary… art!
Indeed, last week, I showed you Marta Grossi’s bananas, today let’s discover Hikaru Cho’s tomatoes which are in reality… clementines. No, the other around, well I hope you are following 🙂
Do not forget to go to the museum, there are plenty of them in Chicago!
Just like Magritte, the artist Hikaru Cho likes to transform reality and play tricks to our eyes. Her last project is based on paint to transform and disguise fruits, vegetables and other everyday food.
The result: a serie of amazing and convincing objects. Trompe-l’oeil guaranteed!
I will show you the pictures below and hide the answers, it is your turn to guess what those fruits and vegetable really are.

Horrible and spooky monsters
The artist is not only well-known for sweet stuff… she also creates monsters! For all the people in Chicago who enjoy getting scared, here is an orange millipede and a spider tomato!
