Bananas as work of art

Banana? Yes yes, today we are talking about bananas!

Do not be ashamed to speak about this beautiful aromatic fruit…

Culture or the fruit which is not forbidden

How many calories in a banana? Bananas is very often avoided during diet to lose weight. However this fruit has many properties. Bananas are rich in vitamines (C, B1, B2, A), mineral nutrients, trace elements, including potassium and fibers. Bananas are recommended by nutritionists if you are following a diet, because it is a natural appetite suppressant and help you reach a feeling of fulness.

How many calories in a banana?

Regarding weight loss, a banana weighs between 90 and 120 grams (3 to 4 oz) and has about 90 calories for 100 grams (3.5 oz). When a banana is ripe, the carbohydrates containing starch tend to turn into simple sugar, which means glucose and fructose. It is then better to eat it before it is too ripe.

The banana as artistic medium

What about art?

Marta Grossi is an artist/stylist, fan of temporary graffitis. She is one of the first graffiti artists working on bananas. Do not laugh! It is very serious and beautiful by the way.

This Italian born in Hong-Kong just launched a new picture collection where she shows her work.

At the beginning of her artistic journey, Marta affirmed eating her creations, I hope she does not do it any longer (at least, not for the almost SM one!).
